Art- Peer Evaluation

First Thought:

This was a very interesting project and understanding of the word 'Light'. I liked the complexity of the work and how it crossed different disciplines, for example painting and reflection, projection and photography. It showed that you had really thought alot and developed the concept of the work.

Strenghts:

The 'Light' box was a real strength and the way the light source (lamp) projects the colour on to the wall was very successful. The light seemed to create different colours and textures on the wall. I think then getting people/actors to interact with the light to create shadows was very atmospheric.

Weaknesses:

I really liked the photographs of the end result, the reflections from the lightbox. However, I think it would have been good to experience the work as an art installation and see it actually working in a gallery space. I realise this is difficult to set up though.

Improvements:

You could try further to use different light sources to create bigger projections. Also, I think the actors moving around in the light and colours could be explored further. But it really works well as an art installation project and I had never seen a light box before.
