My initial thoughts for this project were that I wanted to maybe recreate myth within Dorset or Bournemouth. I liked this idea becuase its a simple idea that can be developed and created effectively. We were then shown a variety of photographers that produce narrative projects and explore the theme broadly. I was inspired by some of the black and white narrative work produced, for example Duane Michaels.
The black and white narrative made me think of film noir, which really interests me becuase of the high contrast imagery used to create mysterious narratives. Film noir explores crime and mystery narratives, which made me think of considering a murder mystery narrative with this style. I thought to maybe add some colour to the characters clothing, which would add character identity and would leave questions about who has committed the crime. This gave me an idea of maybe basing this project on the board game of cluedo. I feel like this makes it more interative for the viewers because it gives them opportunities to suggest conclusions.
