Identify your progression route
I have chosen to progress to university and study photography further because I want to expand my knowledge and techniques within this area. I believe that this route is best for me because I want to explore photography in a new environment, and consider a career in this specilism. The choices of universities that I have considered include studying at AUB, Brighton and Falmouth. My preferred university would be Brighton becuase i have visited a few open days and feel like the degree would be perfect for me to expand my skills. The course explores the artistic side of photography and it would give me different opportunites to explore my interest.
Why did you choose it?
I choose to progress onto university because I realise I have a lot to learn within my chosen specialism of photography, however I believe I will have a good foundation knowledge on which to build. This will help me achieve the challenges that are to come with the degree level study. I believe that a photography degree will give me a range of opportunities and will allow me to experiment with new approaches and work in different styles. My ambition woould be to work as a travel photographer.
What other options did you consider?
I have a few other options that I have considered but not chosen to progress towards. I chose to apply for the photography degree at AUB because the course specification sounds interesting and strongly fits with the requirements that I am looking for within a photography degree. However, I already live in bournemouth and feel like I need to explore other universities and cities becuase thiss would broaden my photography topics and skills. I also considered maybe applying for a mixed media degree course becuase i enjoy working with a range of media/mediums and enjoy incorporating different styles of art within my work. For example, I am experimenting with photography and sound in my next project, and stop motion animation in the past.
Give examples of how you have presented yourself and your work to others.
I have presented my work to others in a variety of different ways. These include presenting my work in a class critique, where others would respond to my work and give me construcive critism. Also sharing ideas with others in a group tutorial, this would help with research ideas and would help with development of projects. I also have enjoyed presenting my work on a blog digitally. Ths is a new approach to my work, and allows me to comment on my work as it progresses.

I have been offered an interview at Falmouth University to study BA photography, on the 13th April, 2018.
I have also been asked to send an online portfolio to Brighton University to study BA photography. I created this portfolio on flickr, here is the link:
I have also been to a few open days at Brighton University, to explore the campus and check out the photography degree.
