Exploring Lighting

For this project I have explored two types of lighting equipment. On my first experimental photoshoot I used simple lighting to highlight the figure, this was the theatre studio lighting. This was just normal lighting but I felt like it created a vivid atmosphere that I can explore further with different lighting equipment.

Overall I think that this lighting worked well to create the dramatic atmosphere. However, I think that the lighting can come across quite yellow toned. The lighting also isn't as striking as I would like but does clearly light the figure.

The other lighting that I developed and used for my first photoshoot was the location lighting kit. I think that this worked a lot better because it created a harsh/striking spot light and produced more of a vivid atmosphere. I think that the lighting created more of a low depth of field on the background, which I preferred because it creates more of a focal point for the viewers with the figure.
