Project Pitch Feedback

I was given some feedback from my peers on my project, including strengths, weaknesses and improvements to consider. I found this really helpful because I was able to gain feedback about my B&B project and my Englishness theme. From reading my feedback I will make changes to improvemnt my work, to show the best of my ability. The feedback I was given includes:

The photographers were seen as a good starting point because they both connect to the theme of B&B's. The theme of englishness was interesting to my peers but some were unsure how it connected to B&B's. This made me think about how B&B designs reflect englishness e.g the decoration and the menu/cuisine.

A peer suggested that I should consider photographing staff and owners. This may show English themes linked to the community. For example a traditional family run guesthouse.

The TV documentary 'The cheddar Man' was suggested to me, that could help me with me research and theory development.

Another peer gave some positive criticism about my project:

-Lovely project exploring the history of B&B's and how they are uniquely English. The project as a whole has lots of depth and works nicely with the concept of documentary photography. The project is broad enough to not get lost and sidetracked.

To consider and act upon:

Experiment with the lighting kits and new cameras.

Are you working in colour or black and white?

What/who are the people? Customers? or staff?

How are you presenting your final piece?
