Test shoot

I completed a mini test shoot where I experimented with natural light and captured a variety of objects and scenery within my house. I mainly explored natural lighting becuase I know that I would like to use this with my B&B shoots, to create a vivid and clear environment. I also used some of my house light for some of the images but I felt that they were quite yellow, which created more of a dull atmosphere. I feel like the natural light works best because it creates a softer, subtle atmosphere and gives more of a personal feel. I believe that this light used links to Jackie Nickerson's work through the soft effect that the light creates. The way that the objects are placed can create a sense of personal identity and could suggest who owns these belongings. Overall, I feel that this shoot went well and helped me to decide whether I would use natural lighting for my upcoming shoots.

Improvements that I could consider for my next shoot would be not to rush and to explore interesting quriky parts of the B&B. Also I feel that I need to try to use a tripod, which will help with balance and camera framing.
