'All in the best possible taste'
The documentary featuring Grayson Perry is a series on channel four. The program looks at different social and class groups in the UK. For example, the working class in the North. He interviews people about what they like in England and their particualr tastes. What I found interesting was that he would travel all over England and look at how location and objects reflect identity. Although he used the images he found in his paintings, his documentary was more the observational style that I am interested in when communicating my photography. He has inspired my project through the idea of looking at changes in England by comparing the modern and the old.

'How British is Britain'
This was a BBC news report that interested me because of how different genrations view the lable of being British. The idea of being British wasn't to everyone's taste and certain locations and age groups classed themselves as English. This was because peoples experinece and ethnic diversisty impacted on how they view the importance of national identity. Within my photography I want to show the true English identity rather then British, which is far more varied. However, the report suggests that the UK is cosmopolitan and the definitions of national identity are broad and complex.
