Shoot Plan 3

Intentions/Aims: For this shoot I have a few aims that I wish to complete when capturing the B&B enironment. This consists of experimenting with other lighting such as 'Nikon Speedlight'. I feel that this will help with the portraits because I found some of my portraits were slightly dark, even with some natural light. This photoshoot is being taken in an old fashioned B&B, where I intend to capture every little detail that I think will be interesting to document. This includes details, interiors, portraits and capturing some subtle human traces. I belive that photographing this B&B will suite my proposal more because I will be showing a quientisential esablishment that is dieing out.

Technical details/equipment: The camera equipment that I intend to work with for this shoot includes, Nikon D610, Nikon Speelight/softbox. The speedlight I feel will work perfectly for the portraits beecause the use of the softbox ontop will create a soft subtle effect, that I want when photographing traditional B&B's. I will also be developing and experimenting more with camera techniuqes such as, low and high depth of field. I believe that these techniques will create vivid focal points for the viewers to concentrate on, which allows them to make suggestions to what is happening.

Artist influences: There is a main photographers that I think will influence my ideas within this shoot. For example Jackie Nickerson's work has been an inspiration with every shoot but I think that she will link best to this shoot. This is because I am using studio lighting for my portraits but in a subtle way to create the same feel as the natural light used in my environmnetal shots. I want to create the same effect that natural light has on the images but i'm sure that this is going to be a difficult task to complete. However, I think that I should just start to experiment and then if it doesnt work for my images, then I can develop nad explore other lighting.

Where/When: This shoot will take place in Brighton at a old fashioned B&B, 'Chatsworth Hotel'. I feel that this B&B will be great and really interesting to explore and capture for my project.
