I completed my mid-point critique, where I presented my work I have done so far. This was to show my developmental process and to collect some feedback together of what my peers think of my project. I found this session really useful because I was able to gather feedback on improvements I should consider throughout the rest of my project. I thought that reviewing my peers projects too was interesting because we were able to give opinions and see how they were developing their project to fit their proposal.
While I was presenting my project one of my peers filled out an evaluation form for me, which reviews my strenghts and weaknesses so far in my project. Aswell as getting feedback on my images, I got some feedback on how well my research is supporting my project and what I need to do to expand this. This was helpful because it gave me ideas about whether I should carry on researching into the theme of Englishness, which was the main idea I wanted to show within my images. At the end of my presentation I asked three questions that I wanted answered about my project, that I thought could help me with improvements I might have to make. These included:
1.Does my documentary study communicate a sense of English identity?
"Yes, the older B&B's are definately very English."
2.What moods and emotions are created within the different B&B’s?
"Slightly creepy and grossed out by the ideas that others have been there before. However can be considered as beautiful."
3.How important is the B&B to today’s audience and you?
"B&B's are a tradition, generations have changed, times are changing and the 'Air B&B' is taking over."
As well as asking these questions I discussed what I wanted to consider for my end user context. For my last photoshoot I also did some experimental gopro work, where I filmed some parts of the B&B. I showed this in my prsentation and the feedback I got from this was that it didn't really help my project and was given a suggestion just to carry on with stills. I believe that this was a fair comment but I just wanted to do a few film experimentations even if I wasn't to use them. However, I was given a idea of maybe using the film to create an experimental google maps streetview, which I thought was a interesting approach that I could explore. For my end user context I am mainly just considering having prints on the wall and creating a photobook to document my experience. Overall, I think that this crtique was really helpful and gave me improvement suggestions and ideas about how to make this project to the best of my ability.

Assessment Criteria Evaluation
After completing the mid-point critique I did an evaluation outlining what I have done so far throughout the project and what actions I need to work upon and correct.
